Lisa: Why did you want to be an actor?
Meaghan: I wanted to be an actor because I've always loved the idea that you can escape your life and jump into someone else's. To be a completely different person brings new perspective, and for me, to fully be another character helps me grow as a person.
Lisa: What inspired you to get into acting?
Meaghan: I think what inspired me to get into acting was just watching movies when i was really young. Even now, watching films still inspire me. The imagery and the intricate stories drive me to be a part of it.
Lisa: What was your first role or acting experience?
Meaghan: My first professional role was in a movie called Lost and Delirious which was directed by Lea Poole. I was about 12 years old, and it was such an overwhelming experience. I had a tiny role, but it was really special for me because it confirmed for me that this was exactly what i wanted to do.
Lisa: What's the best part being an actor?
Meaghan: I think there are so many great aspects of being an actor. One is getting to push and challenge yourself, and seeing the outcome of hard work. Another is seeing how the public responds to your work. In the case of 15/Love, seeing the great reactions of all you fans has been beyond flattering. It's actually really gratifying to know that the show has been so well received. We are really really lucky- thank you so much to all of you for all your kind words and support.
Lisa: In everything you've acted in what was your favorite role and challenging role?
Meaghan: In everything that I have done, I think that 15/Love is my favorite role to date. I say that because of the amazing people I met, the friendships I've made, and all the experiences that came out of it. It's really something close to my heart. It's great because you get to act and improve every single day and frankly, what more could an actor ask for? It is also very challenging in that sense. Apocalypse: 10.5 was also very challenging because i have never done anything that physical. Even though it was a small part, i have never been more exhausted and sore in my life.
15/love questions:
Lisa: How do you compare to your character on 15/love or not compare? Are you in any way similar?
Meaghan: I compare to Adena in the way that i can be really girly and crazy. But in alot of ways we are different. I feel like i am a little more grounded than her, but i find more similarities with her in the 3rd season now hat she is more responsible and focused.
Lisa: What's the funniest part working on the set of 15/love?
Meaghan: The funniest part about working on 15/Love is being with the cast. It's like going to work everyday with your best friends, to the job you love most in the world. Its really comforting that we are all so close. It really adds something special.
Lisa: what time did you have to wake up to shoot scenes?
Meaghan: Our call time was different every day depending on the scenes that day. But on average, they would pick my up from my house at about 5 o'clock (the set is an hour away) so i would be up my about 4:45. (they would pick me up the earliest cuz i have the most hair...:S they would have to tame it...booo)
Lisa: How did you hear about the show and why did you want to try out for the part?
Meaghan: Well my agent sent me the material for this series called 15/Love, as as soon as i read it, i said to myself "i have to be apart of this". Then after about 3 auditions, the rest is history!
Lisa: What did you expect from 15/Love? Like did you ever think it would get so big?
Meaghan: Never! I never really considered how it would turn out. I am so greatful that it was so well recieved.
Lisa: Did Karen or Derek ever tell you why they picked you for your character?
Meaghan: Yes
But it's personal and i would rather keep it for me.. sorry!
Lisa: Did you keep anything from the set? and what were they?
Meaghan: ahaha oh god.. i took alot of clothes, some furniture too.. and a ton of good memories

L: perchè sei voluta diventare un attrice?
M: io ho voluto diventare un'attrice perchè ho sempre amato l'idea che puoi scappare dalla tua vita e saltare dentro quella di qualcunaltro. essere una persona completamente diversa che porta con se nuove prospettive, e per me, essere totalmente un altro personaggio ha aiutato a crescere come persona.
L: cosa ti ha ispirato a diventare un'attrice?
M: penso che quello che mi ha ispirato ad entrare nella recitazione sia stato solo guardare film da quando ero molto piccola. perfino adesso guardare un film mi ispira ancora. le immagini e le storie intricate mi hanno guidato ad essere una parte di qst.
L:qual è stato il tuo primo ruolo o esperienza di recitazione?
M: il mio primo ruolo professionale era in un film chiamato "lost and delirious" che era diretto da lea pool. avevo circa 12 anni, ed è stata un'esperienza molto overwhelming nn riesco a tradurlo(mi disp). avevo un ruolo minuscolo ma è stato molto speciale per me perchè ha confermato che questo era esattamente quello che volevo fare.
L:qual è la parte migliore dell'essere un attore?
M:penso che ci siano molte parti grandiose nell'essere un attore. una è arrivare a fare pressione su se stessi e mettersi alla prova e vedere i risultati di un duro lavoro. un'altra è vedere come il pubblico ripaga il tuo lavoro. nel caso di 15/love vedendo la reazione di tutti voi fans è stato più che lusinghiero. è realmente gratificante vedere che lo show è stato così bene accettato. noi siamo molto molto fortunati grazie a tutti voi per le vostre parole gentili e per il vostro supporto.
L: tra tutti quelli che hai recitato qual è stato tuo ruolo preferito e quello che ti ha messo più alla prova
M:tra tutto quello che ho fatto penso che il ruolo in 15/love sia stato il mio preferito.dico questo per tutte le magnifiche(sorprendenti) persone che ho incontrato, le amicizie che ho fatto, e tutte le esperienze che sono venute fuori da questo. è veramente qualcosa chiuso nel mio cuore. è grandioso perchè tu arrivi a recitare e migliorare ogni giorno e, francamente: cos'altro può chiedere un attore? e stato però molto molto impegnativo per questo. apocalypse:10.5 è stato anche molto impegnativo perchè non avevo mai fatto niente di così fisico. anche se era una piccola parte, non sono mai stata più esausta e dolorante nella mia vita.
L:come ti paragoni o non ti paragoni al tuo personaggio in 15/love?siete in qualche modo simili?
M:io somiglio ad adena nel senso che posso essere molto "girly"..(nn so cosa vuol dire..scusate) e pazza. ma in molti casi siamo diverse. mi sento come se fossi un po' più coi piedi per terra di lei, ma trovo più somiglianze con lei nella terza serie adesso che è più responsabile e più determinata.
L:qual è la parte più divertente nel lavorare sul set di 15/love?
M:la parte più divertente di lavorare in 15/love è stare con il cast. è come andare a lavorare ogni giorno con i tuoi migliori amici, a fare il lavoro che ami di più al mondo. è molto confortante che siamo tutti così uniti. qst è davvero qlcs di speciale.
L:a che ora ti devi alzare x girare le scene?
M: la nostra ora di svegliarsi era diversa ogni giorno dipendendo dalle scene del giorno. ma in media mi prendevano da casa mia alle 5 (il set dista un' ora) così mi alzavo alle 4.45...(mi volevano prendere per prima perchè ho più capelli di tutti...li dovevano sistemare).
L:come hai sentito dello show e come hai cercato di ottenere una parte?
M: bene, il mio agente mi ha spedito il materile per qst serie chiamata 15/love, e come l'ho letto, mi sono detta "devo fare parte di qst". mi hanno preso dopo circa 3 audizioni, il resto è storia.
L:cosa ti aspettavi da 15/love?avresti mai pensato che sarebbe diventato così grande?
M:mai! non ho davvero mai considerato come sarebbe potuto diventare. sono molto grata che sia stato così ben accettato.
L: karen o darek ti hanno mai detto perchè ti hanno presa x il tuo personaggio?
M: si. ma è personale e vorrei tenermelo per me...scusate!
L:hai mai preso qualcosa dal set?
M:ahahah...o dio!!ho preso un sacco di vestiti, anche qualche mobile...e una tonnelata di bei ricordi!!
