TRAMA
Will Browning (Andrew Lawrence) is a slacker student who needs to get a good grade in science, or he has to go to a military camp for the summer. He attempts to get a good grade by ordering a product called "Ocean Pups" for his project. It is a cloning kit, and, accidentally, some clone formula leaked into his package in the factory. When stirring the ocean pet (and clone) mixture with a comb, he accidentally creates a clone of himself. He sends the clone to school, because the clone is a lot smarter than him. Everyone likes the clone better than Will. So then Will goes back to school with everyone loving him. A girl (Sarah Gadon) he likes finds him cool, the bully (Tyler Hynes) that picked on him is cool to him, and all the other kids are much kinder to him. Also he gets Will's grandfather to talk which is something no one has been able to do in a long time and grandpa apparently turns out to be very cool. The problem is Will is losing his best friend (Brenden Jefferson) and the clone is about to turn into ocean pup eggs. Will ends up saving his clone and he improved his grades without the help of his clone. Ultimately the goons who created the cloning formula turn up and kidnap Will at a near by motor garage the goons bound and gag Will, they then leave him to search for the other one.. Due to a telepathic connection the two have Twoie (the clone) senses this as he's about to board a bus for New York. He rushes to the school dance and gets Will's best friend and the bully who's his friend now to call for help while he rescues Will. Twoie saves Will and the two fight the goons and Will manages to defeat one and get the cure that Twoie needs to survive. As the second goon goes for him his and Twoie's two friends show up and the bully traps the goon in the trunk of a car. Will feeds the cure to Twoie as his family and the police show up and arrest the goons. With the help of his family Will convinces the police that Twoie is an identical cousin of his and changes Twoie's name to Gill. At the house the family agrees that Gill can live with them as part of the family.
