Lisa: Why did you want to be an actor?
Kyle: Its a funny kind of story really. My dad is a contractor and when I was younger he was doing work on the local video store and in return he got to keep a lot of the movie posters that the store didnt need anymore. So my dad would array them all in our basement and put lights in them, this made for a very cool basment. My dad also loved movies and bought a lot of them frequently, and as well would take me to the movies a lot. So most of my favorite memories of my childhood were centered around movies and actors. There was also a brief period of time where my dad had tricked me into thinking he was a famouf actor, and naturally I wanted to be an actor too as a result.
Lisa: What inspired you to get into acting?
Kyle: Inspiration can come from so many differant situations really. Ill watch an actor I admire play an amazing part and become inspired. Ill act out a scene for an audition and become inspired. Most of the time my inspiration is already inside me, all I have to do is remember how much Ive always loved the movies.
Lisa: What was your first role or acting experience?
Kyle: My first acting experience professionaly was 15/love, and Im sure your all familiar with that.4) What's the best part being an actor?The most rewarding part of being an actor is watching yourself perform a scene and feeling like you did a great job, and that whoever is watching the show or movie is able to ignore reality and surrender themselves to the story because so.
Lisa: In everything you've acted in what was your favorite role and challenging role?
Kyle: Well I havent done much besides Rick on 15/love so I cant really answer that justifiably. But I have done hundreds of auditions and I can tell you that, I love drama just as much if not more then comedy. And my dream is to play a very dramatic role. I find comedy and drama equally as challenging, but both in there own ways. With drama you really have to play truthfully to the character and feel a lot of genuine emotion, and with comedy its all about timeing and delivery wich is absolutely unpredictable.

Lisa: How do you compare to your character on 15/love or not compare? Are you in any way similar?
Kyle: Rick is a huge part of who I am. I mean the character never really had a description except that he is the "hall monitor" and a loser. The rest of Rick just came out of who I am.
Lisa: What's the funnest part working on the set of 15/love?
Kyle: Oh wow, so much. The friends you meet that become as close as family, the atmosphere, the joking around. Everything about it is fun.
Lisa: what time did you have to wake up to shoot scenes?
Kyle: This part sucked. When I was first cast, I told the producers that I was a local actor in order to get the part, which was a lie (Im from Ottawa which is 2 and a half hours away from Montreal where the show is shot). So for the first 6 months my da would have to drive me up everyday I worked. I am very lucky to have such a supportive family. Genneraly I would wake up at 4:30 and be in montreal at 7-7:30. But if there was a snow storm or anything I would have to wake up at 3. But from the second season on I lived in Montreal and would only have to wake up around 5 or 6.
Lisa: How did you hear about the show and why did you want to try out for the part?
Kyle: I heard about the show from my agent and she sent me on the audition. It was my first audition and first time in Montreal, it was a lot of fun.

K: è davvero una storia divertente. mio padre è un imprenditore e qnd ero + piccolo lavorava al video-store locale e prendeva un sacco di poster che nn servivano più al video-store. così mio padre li disponeva nel nostro seminterrato e li illuminava, qst fece diventare il seinterrato molto cool. mio padre amava anche i film e ne comprava frequentemente(poster), e così mi portava a vedere film molto spesso. così molti dei miei ricordi d'infanzia erano concentrati intorno al cinema e agli attori. c'è stato anche un breve periodo di tempo in cui mio padre mi ingannava a pensare che fosse un attore famoso enaturalmente anche io volevo essere un attore di conseguenza.
L:cosa ti ha ispirato a entrare nel mondo della recitazione?
K:l'ispirazione è venuta fuori davvero da molte situazioni differenti. io guardo un attore che ammiro recitare una parte bellissima e sono ispirato. recito una scena x un'audizione e mi ispiro. molta della mia ispirazione è già dentro di me, tutto quello che devo fare è ricordare come ho sempre amato i film.
L:qual è stato il tuo primo ruole o esperienza recitativa?
K:la mia 1 esperienza recitativa professionale è stata 15/love, e sono sicuro che tutti voi avete familiarità con quello.
L: qual è la parte migliore di essere un attore?
K:la parte più gratificante di essere un attore è guardarsi recitare una scena e sentire che hai fatto un buon lavoro, e chiunque stia guardando lo spettacolo o il film sia in grado di ignorare la realtà ed abbandonarsi alla storia.
L:tra tutto ql k hai fatto k ruolo è stato il tuo preferito e il più impegnativo?
K: bene, non ho fatto molto prima di 15/love così non posso veramente rispondere giustificatamente (mmm...esiste qst parola??...forse me la sono inventata...). ma ho fatto centinaia di audizioni e posso dirti che adoro i drammi così come se nn di più delle comedie. è il mio sogno recitare un ruolo veramente drammatico. trovo che le commedie ee i drammi siano egualente impegnativi,ma in modi diversi. nei drammi devi davvero immedesimarti nel personaggio e provare tate genuine emozioni, e nelle commedie è tutto circa il tempismo e la dizione che sono assolutamente imprevedibili.

L: come assomigli o no al tuo personaggio in 15/love?
K:rick è un'enorme parte di quello che sono. voglio dire che non ha davvero una descrizione eccetto che è il "controllore" e un perdente. il resto di rick viene fuori in quello che sono.
L: qual è la parte migliore di lavorare in 15/love?
K: oh wow, così tante!! gli amici che incontri che diventano uniti come una famiglia, l'atmosfera, lo scherzare in giro. tutto circa il divertimento.
L: a che ora ti dovevi alzare x girare le scene?
K: tasto dolente! quando fui convocato per la prima volta, dissi al produttore che ero un attore locale per ottenere la parte, che ero una bugia (sono da ottawa che è a due ore ee mezza di distanza da montreal dove lo show è girato) così x i primi 6 mesi mio padre mi ci portava in macchina tutti i giotni che lavoravo. sono molto fortunato ad avere una famiglia che mi sostiene così. generalmente mi svegliavo alle 4:30 e ero a montreal alle 7-7:30 ma se c'era una bufera di neve o qualcosaltro dovevo alzarmi alle 3 . ma dalla seconda stagione vivo a montreal e deve svegliarmi solo alle 5-6.
L: come ha sentito dello show e pwrchè hai deciso di provare a ottenere una parte?
K: ho sentito dello show dalla mia agente e lei mi ha mandato all'audizione. era la mia prima audizione e la èrima volta che andavo a montreal, è stato divertente.. -
