Tyler Jeffery Hynes è nato il 6 maggio 1986 a Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Inizia la sua carriera recitando in "A Christmas Carol" nel ruolo di Tiny Tim a 8 anni. Ha studiato recitazione e la sua filmografia è molto molto ampia per un giovane attore canadese. Ha recitato in serie tv di successo come Amazon e Tagged fino ad arrivare a 15/Love. Sua madre è una delle direttrici dello Youth For Human Rights - Canada di cui Tyler è un grad sostenitore. Accanto alla sua professione di attore, Tyler canta nella band del fratello Brandon Hynes "All Logic" che ha avuto un grande successo in Canada negli ultimi 2 anni con il cd “Don’t Hold Back: The Story of Jarvo”. Inoltre ama lo skateboard con il quale fa molte competizioni importanti in Canada.
